To whom it may concern,
I am suspicious when someone can talk in paragraphs. In speaking, as well it might be in music, composing and rehearsing are a good place to start but a bad place to stay because I might become a robot. Improvising is a good place to be, but a bad place to start because the trouble is that teaching improvisation is a contradiction, like moral authority. I had to learn it myself. First I had to learn to think, then read, then write, then speak. It is sewing with a needle but no thread to learn those in reverse like I did, so I have a lot of old thoughts that I never finished. I won’t say it is unfortunate though, you must know all of those thoughts were for you because you finished them all.
